A rare Kilim type among the knotted carpets or Kilim carpets are the so-called the Nimbaft carpets.
Nimbaft comes from Persian and means "half-knotted". The basic structure are Kilim carpets that are
decorated with knotted stripes within the Kilim. These knotted stripes make Kilims very decorative.
Mostly made in small workshops (in southern Persia) in only limited quantities due to their
complexity.
Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.
