This carpet is manufactured by Kurdish nomads, semi-nomads and settled members in the Zandjan district. The carpet has an equally high firm and dense quality as the classic Bidjar. The sturdy character is produced by beating the double weft thread hard.
The pile is made from virgin wool and the warp and weft from cotton.
Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.
