This carpet is knotted in the Sarough area in the western parts of central Persia. The carpet is manufactured with several kinds of patterns, but often has a centrally placed medallion and a distinct border which resembles the Kerman and Keshan carepts. A very durable carpet with a high knot density and shiny wool.
Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.
